IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
In Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties alone, there are more foster youth who still need our help. We know we can’t do it all alone.
A COMMUNITY THAT CARES
We are fortunate to work with community organizations and service groups that share our commitment to helping Silicon Valley's foster youth defy the odds. By joining forces with Pivotal, these groups create a force for good that directly impacts the educational and career success of young people in foster care.
We gratefully acknowledge the Junior League of San Jose, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, The Silicon Valley Organization, and several local Rotary Clubs for their strong partnership and deep commitment to making a difference.
These groups are always eager to invest time and resources, bolstering our ability to provide best-in-class education and employment support. Some of the many ways they help include volunteering, offering jobs, creating care packages for college students, and even fundraising for laptops and other things youth need.
PARTNERING TO BUILD A TEAM OF SUPPORT
Young people in foster care have a variety of resources available to them, but navigating the network of non-profit service providers can be time-consuming and overwhelming. We actively collaborate with other non profits so we can connect our Pivotal Scholars to everyone they need to know to get what they need. When we build a team of support around them, their game gets stronger.
Silicon Valley boasts a strong network of non-profits whose missions include serving young people from foster care. By working together, we minimize redundancy of services and maximize our impact. Here's a quick list of some our rock star non-profit colleagues working to make a difference in the lives of our community's foster youth.
