CLOSING THE OPPORTUNITY GAP

90% of our scholars are young people of color. Our scholarships move the needle towards improving the racial and socioeconomic inequities that typically prevent students from under-represented communities from pursuing a college education.

We know it takes more than just dollars to keep first-generation college students on track. Here's some of the extra support that Pivotal gives foster youth.

COACHING

89% of eligible high school scholars were satisfied with our program and plan to return the following year.

TUTORING

In 2021, we provided 2,283 hours of academic tutoring support. Scholars who received tutoring had an average GPA of 3.09.

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

In 2021, 91% of college students who had a professional internship completed it successfully.
