End of Year Celebration with Pivotal

Last month, we hosted an unforgettable end-of-year celebration at Cataldi Park in San Jose to honor our post-secondary students. The day was filled with summer vibes, delicious food, and even better company as we came together to celebrate our scholars’ hard work and achievements as the school year came to a close. 

It was a perfect summer day for a BBQ, and everyone enjoyed delicious food, laughter, and community camaraderie. Many scholars and graduates brought their families and children to the festivities, and the day was chock-full of games and activities for kids and adults alike. 

At the water balloon fight, our CEO Matt Bell took quite a few hits from our scholars' children (and maybe a few sneak attacks from staff!). Folks looking for a less intense activity planted tiny succulents in terracotta pots that they decorated while others enjoyed some friendly competition with games like cornhole and giant Jenga. 

We also set up a photo station where our new college graduates could have their portraits taken. Students received candy leis crafted at an event hosted by our Board Members, Paul Silverglate and Michael Saviage bringing together volunteers who wanted to help make the day special. It was a heartful way to recognize how far all our scholars have come this year and to celebrate every hard-earned achievement.

The end-of-year celebration was filled with joy, connections, and the spirit of community that defines Pivotal; it felt more like a family gathering as we celebrated milestones, built friendships, and closed out the year with warmth and excitement.
